R-E-S-P-E-C-T Find out what it means to me
Rev. Joseph Lowery and others remarks at Coretta King's funeral are just more egregious examples of the Left's utter inability to to comport themselves with any dignity and respect. No, I'm not talking about insulting President and Mrs. Bush, although that is bad enough on its own; I'm talking about insulting Mrs. King and her memory. Those antics would not have been appropriate if Bush had not been there. It was like a replay of the unfortunate behavior witnessed at Paul Wellstone's funeral service several years ago. That wasn't a campaign rally and neither was this, it was the funeral for the revered wife of our most important civil rights leader for goodness sakes. I know enough about how Mrs. King lived her life to confidently maintain that she would not have condoned this unseemly conduct. To both the speakers and those that were hooting, cheering and applauding I have only this to say: Shame on you!

Where else are these people going to have a public forum to be heard in this country? The mainstream media is locked down by a well-controlled propaganda machine. Only when Kanye West speaks out at a Katrina Benefit, or when all eyes are on Coretta's funeral, can even former PRESIDENTS speak their mind and get heard. Has anyone even been listening to the incendiary words of Al Gore? Well, no, cuz no one ever listens to the VP anyway. Except our current president to his current VP.
And as for Wal Mart, it has become the ONLY pharmacy in many small towns. That's the point. It's so big that it has wiped out other stores, even chains. It's almost killed my little hometown in Iowa. My dad had a pharmacy when I was growing up, and it pissed him off when someone forgot their birth control pills on a Sunday, but he would go meet them at the store to get them for her. Like I said, that's the POINT; the morning after pill should be AVAILABLE, so back-room hack abortionists can't kill desperate women anymore>>>

Julie,
1)I agree the media is locked down and no one should know like your side.
2)Benefits and funerals are NOT appropriate events for these kind of comments.
3)I listen to Al Gore and apparently so do you.
4)WalMart is big because consumers like you shop there, that's not an excuse for the gov't. to impose special rules. Do you want special rules for the artists that sell the most CDs?
5)I have no way of knowing but I find it hard to believe that a small town pharmacist would regularly be called out on Sunday for birth control pills.
6)No, that is NOT the point. Whether the abortion pill should be available is not what we were talking about.
Thanks for the give-and-take. Have a great weekend!
